Warts

Due to the nature of children’s daily activities (school, playground, swimming, running barefoot), they are highly susceptible to contracting a virus that causes warts (most commonly on the sole of the foot). These warts can grow and become painful, and spread to other sites on the foot (mosaic warts). It is important to see your podiatrist if you see a black or brown discoloured, painful spot on your child’s foot. Other family members can also contract the virus and develop warts. We can work out the best treatment for your child and help them become wart free.
