In-Toeing

The cause of in-toeing in a child can originate from the thigh, leg or foot bones. It is possible for the thigh bone- femur to be twisted inwards (femoral anteversion), or the leg bone- tibia to be facing the centerline of the body (tibial anteversion) or the long bones of the foot to be facing inwards (metatarsus adductus).

Like flat arches, in- toeing in children corrects itself with time, but it is common for parents to be worried about children who trip frequently because of this, and this is something we at South Lake Podiatry can help you with.

We can design a device which will help your child learn how to control their foot position.  This involves use the TOG gait scan and casting their feet.
