High Arched Feet or Supination

Just as a flat arch can cause problems with the alignment and walking biomechanics of the rest of the body, a high arch puts the child at risk of injuries such as ankle sprains or ankle fractures. This occurs because the child’s foot faces towards the center of the body, making it more rigid and less stable. It is important, therefore, to make sure this is prevented. This is much less common than pronation in children.
